Stephen A. Ferrara, DNP, RN, FNP-BC, FAANP, FNAP, FAAN is a nurse practitioner, professor at Columbia University School of Nursing, and Immediate Past President of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. He is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Doctoral Nursing Practice and previously served as Columbia Nursing’s inaugural (founding) Associate Dean for Artificial Intelligence. With more than 25 years in practice and leadership, Dr. Ferrara helped advance policy that grants full practice authority to experienced NPs in New York. His current work centers on AI literacy and ethical integration in nursing to strengthen clinical judgment and expand access to care. He is the founder of the AI + Nurse Academy.
